The Handover Ceremony Of China's Largest Park Solar Lighting Project In Pakistan Was Held In Islamabad

Islamabad, December 15th (Reporter Xu Wei) - The handover ceremony of the solar lighting project for F-9 Park in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan, which China provided free aid to, was held grandly in the park on the afternoon of December 15th. Nearly a hundred people, including Pakistan's Finance Minister Ishak Dahl, Islamabad Mayor Sheikh Ansar Aziz, and Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Sun Weidong, attended the event. At the ceremony, Tariq Bajwa, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Economic Affairs of Pakistan, signed the project handover certificate with Ambassador Sun Weidong, marking the official completion of the intergovernmental handover work for the project.

Ambassador Sun said in his speech that Islamabad is known as the "Garden City", and F-9 Park, as the largest park in Islamabad, is a symbol of the city and a great place for local people to relax and have fun. In order to enhance the friendship between the two peoples and improve local livelihoods, the Chinese government has provided free assistance to Pakistan in implementing a park solar lighting project. This project represents China's green, environmentally friendly, and sustainable development concept, and is a new symbol of China Pakistan friendship. We hope to effectively provide convenience for local people and add more colors to Islamabad.

Ishak Dahl pointed out that the friendship between Pakistan and China has made historic progress in the past three years, and Pakistan cherishes this precious friendship. The F-9 Park Solar Lighting Project is another beautiful gift from the Chinese government and people to Pakistan, and Pakistan expresses its gratitude for it.

Hao Jing, the project manager of the F-9 Park solar lighting project assisted by China Railway 17th Bureau Group Electrification Engineering Co., Ltd. in Pakistan, introduced that according to the exchange of letters signed by the governments of China and Pakistan on November 21, 2014, the Chinese government agreed to assist the Pakistani government in implementing the project in the form of free aid, constructing a photovoltaic power station (off grid energy storage type) with a total installed capacity of 0.85 megawatts. The company was appointed by the Chinese Ministry of Commerce to be responsible for the project construction. The project mainly involves the construction of two sets of photovoltaic energy storage systems locally, with a total of 3400 250W polycrystalline silicon photovoltaic modules installed. In addition, the project construction also includes distribution room engineering, solar power generation equipment and installation engineering, etc.

Since the project started on December 10, 2015, the Chinese enterprise construction technology team has carefully organized and arranged it reasonably, overcoming unfavorable factors such as high temperature, severe safety situation, and long rainy season, ultimately ensuring the smooth completion of the project on October 20 this year, two months ahead of the original plan. After the project is completed, it will be used for lighting and power supply in the developed areas of the park. There is also an LED display screen on the project site, which cyclically displays real-time power generation, cumulative power generation, cumulative carbon dioxide emissions reduction and other data and information.
